Dr. Joan Chung

Dr. Joan Chung is a General Dentist who earned her DDS degree from the University of California in San Francisco. She grew up in Atlanta, Georgia where she completed her Bachelor of Science in Biology at the Georgia Institute of Technology before moving to the Bay Area to follow her career path to dentistry. As a dentist, Dr. Chung acknowledges and always places patient awareness and education as the most important factors to prevention of dental diseases and maintenance of health. She finds time and time again that routinely integrating dental education as part of all appointments paves way for easy, stress-free visits, improved prognoses and increased rapport. As Dr. Chung likes to say, dentistry entails TEAMWORK between patient and provider!

As a provider her focus is on preventive, restorative and cosmetic dentistry, and is eager to work with patients of all ages and walks of life. She can also be found volunteering in community outreach events and is an active member of the Academy of General Dentistry, California Dental Association and the Santa Clara County Dental Society.

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Chung’s interests include traveling, design and fashion, and caring for her adorable dogs.
